Metria CityModeler Version 5.7, 2010-05-26

Download Metria CityModeler Version 5.7 here.

This section describes changes compared to Version 5.6

Fixed Defects

  • If image size exceeds what can be stored in a signed integer, MCM crashes. Fixed (Ticket 78)
  • Objects are not translated when using "Adjust Object". Fixed (Ticket 79)
  • Includes version 1.2 of WiMap® DSM.

Known Issues

  • Some GeoEYE RPC text files have a line feed break that can not be parsed due to a bug in wxWidgets v2.9. The bug will be reported to wxWidgets. Meanwhile, remove the existing line breaks and replace with Windows line feeds if "More info" shows zeros for the sensor parameters in the wizard.

New Features

  • Color image display. Three bands in a multispectral image can be chosen to be displayed in RGB. Matching has been adapted for multispectral images.
  • You can choose to add free text comments to the objects.
  • Context menu with all major functions is now available.
  • Support for tiled TIFF. Earlier versions only had support for TIFF files in strips.
  • Improved About dialog and logging, showing operating system and licence serial number.
  • Demo licenses can now be created by ReVisitor on request.
  • It is now possible to choose automatic recentering at the last measured object.
  • When a license has expired, required data is copied to the clipboard.

Fixed Defects

  • Overview images assumed objects to be in WGS84 when they were in UTM system while adjusting slave to master image. Fixed.
  • Version 4.4 introduced a defect, reporting and applying erroneous scale and angle, when the bottom image needs to be resampled. Fixed.
  • Deleting objects could sometimes cause mismatch of objects in top and bottom views. The height, Z, was set to zero for some objects as a side effect. Fixed.
  • If the area covered by a stereo model covers to UTM zones, different zone numbers were used on either side, resulting in erroneous Euclidian object coordinates. The zone number is now fixed based on the polar latitude and longitude coordinates in the first image.
  • Support for WorldView satellite scenes. GeoTIFF tags in WorldView images are ignored.
  • Program crashed if right click was made in image window in measure mode and no buildings had been measured. Fixed.
  • TIFF tags were not correctly saved, when an overview image was added as a directory to the original image. Overview images are now saved in a separate file, instead of as a directory in the original TIFF file.
  • Program crashed when two objects were deleted without making a selection inbetween and when followed by making a new measurement. Fixed.
  • Images larger than 2147483647 bytes (approx 2.1 Gb) caused program crash because image size was saved internally as signed integer. Fixed.
  • For very large images a subsampling with scale 1:8 still creates large images. Rescaling is now done so that overviews are not larger than 32 Mb.
  • Program crashed when multi band images were stored in separate bands. The format is not supported, but now a message is displayed instead.
  • When the band order was changed for multi band images, the display was only updated when the contrast dialog was closed, not when Apply was clicked. Fixed.
  • Data could not be saved when Z was associated with an integer attribute. Now you can only choose from floating point attributes.
  • Multispectral images could not be rescaled or rotated. Fixed.
  • The adjust slave report was not launched in a web browser. Unable to reproduce, but changes have been made, so that it should be fixed.
  • Context menu was shown when rightclicking while measuring object. At the same time the object was finalized, which is the meaning of right click while measuring. Now the object is finalized without showing the context menu.
  • Program crashed when adjust slave was processed and then cancelled if the search image was multispectral. Fixed.

Known Issues

  • The license dongle needs to be updated. Copy the license number, which is displayed when opening Metria CityModeler and send it to info (at) revisitor.se. ReVisitor will verify the license and send a program, which you run to update the license.
