The meta data for a project are saved in an XML project file with extension cmx (CityModeler XML). Rather than running the Metria CityModeler wizard each time you start the same project, you open the cmx project file from File->Open... or the Open icon. This will take you to the same state as after having run the wizard.
You can also start a project by double clicking a project file or by dragging a project file to the Metria CityModeler icon on the desktop. The cmx extension is connected to the Metria CityModeler application during installation of Metria CityModeler. You can also start a Metria CityModeler project from a command prompt by typing:
SGIS_CityModeler.exe MyProject.cmx
The cmx project file saves not only the meta data, which were collected in the wizard, but also settings as selected in the settings dialog.
NOTE: From time to time the format of the project file is changed. The version attribute in the project file is used to check compatibility (current valid version is 5.0). Since it is quite easy to create new projects, backward compatibility is usually not ensured. If a project file with unsupported version is opened, you will get a warning message and you are asked to create a new project instead.

Having opened a project file you can view and, if necessary edit, the meta data by selecting Project->View and edit, which takes you to the wizard. You should not edit the project file manually - use the wizard!
WiMap DSM creates and uses another project file with extension *.wmd.
